Client’s Requirements: JK Shah Accountants, a chartered accountant firm, required us to proofread their website, to identify and point out any errors in the English used, but asked specifically to not correct the mistakes per se. The firm was flexible with their deadline, but we promised to deliver the work to them within five days.
How We Helped: Respecting their requirements, we charged a cheaper price than usual for our proofreading service as they only wanted us to identify the errors but not correct them. Reading through every page of the website, we identified any errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar and pointed those out to the firm. Though not asked of us, we did propose a few formatting tips that could help the website look more professional and engaging, including consistency in line spacing, paragraph spacing, and text fonts, and adding numbers and bullet points where necessary when listing the services the firm offers.
End Result: As promised, the work was delivered to JK Shah Accountants within five days. They were delighted with the work we provided and grateful of the suggestions on the formatting of the website, which they ended up paying for in the end, without our request! The firm is now booming in business and loaded with work for the remainder of the year.
