Proofreading and Copyediting a Business Website
Company Name: In Sue’s Name
Industry: Charity
Website: https://www.insuesname.org.uk/
Client’s Requirements: David Alan Taylor, Founder & CEO of In Sue’s Name, wanted us to proofread and copyedit his website to make sure there were no English errors and to be as appealing as possible to customers. David was flexible with his deadline, but we guaranteed that we would produce the work within five days.
How We Helped: We first had a phone call with David to learn more about him and his company and what he wanted the website to entail. After David clarified to us that he needed his website to look appealing by using certain words that will attract customers and make sure that the English is correct in every page of his website, we got to work. We read through each of the pages, and noticed that there were sentences and words that could be changed to make the pages more appealing. We copyedited all of the pages, ensuring the consistency, tone, and structure of the text were correct, and then proofread any text that was left unchanged, making sure the spelling, punctuation, and grammar were correct. Our final checks included identifying whether all of the relevant links and headings within the website would redirect the visitor to the correct destination.
End Result: David was very pleased with our service. We returned the work within our proposed timeframe. David went on to leave us a very positive recommendation, and gave us a shout out on his social media, which we have the utmost appreciation for. David was an amazing client and was very helpful in explaining all of his requirements thoroughly before we got started with our work.
Client Feedback: “I met Edi quite recently and found him to be a very engaging and caring man. He explained his services included editorial overview of websites, letters, content for bids, a wide range of services, which ensured that all the material a client sent out was grammatically correct and also showed that care had been taken in preparing an offering to clients.
Having recently had a couple of errors pointed out to me by a friend who visited our Charity website, Edi offered to have a quick look through some of the pages. He was meticulous in approach and very thorough, I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone who wants their presentations to look really professional.”
